About us<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Welcome<\/strong> to a research network in quest of finding answers for ‘big question’ of sustainable development. We are a think tank aspiring to contribute through our cutting edge research work in the field of ecology, environment, and sustainability. We want to establish ourselves as an advocacy group which can influence decision makers to incorporate sustainability in their decisions.<\/em>

Founded in 2014 ,CREESS explores areas such as environmental management, human ecology, industrial ecology, Indian knowledge systems (IKS), environmental ethics, traditional knowledge, and cultural ecology. We are in the field of dance ecology, folklore, and artforms with reference to its connections with traditional technology & wisdom, conservation of natural resources, and sustainability. We have worked with ‘Baiga’ community in MP and Chattisgarh, and ‘Kaibartya’ and other communities in Assam. <\/em>

We are in the field of spatial planning using remote sensing and GIS, EIA, SIA, CIA, with reference to sustainable urban development, urban metabolism, ecological footprint analysis, and developing framework for strategic environmental assessment for flood. Our special focus is on north eastern states of India and its overall sustainable development. <\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
